Do you ever wonder, WHO grew your tea?

Sometimes we hear about the WHERE. At Fraser Tea, we make it our mission to choose the very best organic teas from around the world, and from the best growers. The best teas in India are the premium grade handpicked organic black teas like Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri. We are proud to bring to you the finest Indian farm direct tea, straight from the sustainable tea gardens to your cup – tea gardens like the Chota Tingrai Estate in Himalayan foothills.

A little Background

Did you know that the consumption of tea in India can be traced back to 750 BC? Buddhist monks drank tea as a part of their daily routine in the temples. This history inspired our popular Trappist Monk Organic Black Tea, where we added a modern twist.

In the Indian Ayurvedic medical practice, tea served an important component of the treatment regime. Later, with the British arrival, tea usage evolved into a more widely enjoyed beverage. The increased popularity and subsequent exports abroad let the world discover India’s important position as the source for the finest black teas.

Second, Indian tea growers value and utilize sustainable and organic production methods. Finally, the local culture ensures fair treatment for their valued workers. Fraser Tea scours the world looking for tea farms that incorporate these three key elements.
